Poli ceramiche (SCAT POLI CESARE di Ivo Poli & C. sas)

This artisan workshop was founded in the 50s by Ivo Poli's parents, Anna and Cesare Poli. It arrived at its current location in 1980 and for another decade worked extensively in interior decoration for a foreign audience. In 1985 Ivo Poli joined and production expanded to include the creation of garden vases and the first collaborations began with artists of the caliber of Finotti, Mitoraj, M.gamundi, N. Comas, M. Cornini and many others.
Since 2000, his wife Benedetta Pellizzi, a landscape architect, has been on the staff, making a strong contribution to the development of the home and garden furniture design sector, redesigning shapes and decorations by introducing new pictorial methods and promoting the combined creation of vases and private green design.
The constant and common note is the attention to natural elements. Seascapes like woods or flowers, skies, animals and birds are their continuous source of inspiration.
Ivo takes care of the production of the element, whether in red clay, white clay, colored or non-colored semi-refractory. Benedetta takes care of the chromaticity of the element, using -according to her specific needs- different painting techniques.
Their production is extremely vast both for interior and exterior, they collaborate in the creation of architectural elements on project, restoration of architectural elements for the Italian Superintendencies, consultancy and support to young artists for the creation of their works.
