Materially Speaking is delighted to present Giro d’Arte, a rare opportunity to visit artists’ studios in Pietrasanta during the weekend of May 24th & 25th, 2025.

Although Pietrasanta is known as the città d’arte, visitors rarely get the opportunity to meet real artists in their places of work. The idea for Giro d’Arte was born over an aperitivo in the piazza. A spontaneous conversation between friends blossomed into a community-wide event inspired by the voices on the Materially Speaking podcast.

Materially Speaking has recorded the stories of more than 60 International artists on their popular podcast, and this year celebrates their five year anniversary. Check out the podcasts on any podcast player, or on the episode page where you’ll also find photographs of the artists’ work.

Giro d’Arte offers a rare opportunity to expand this community by welcoming guests to studios, each one will open for a 2–3 hour window during the weekend of May 24–25th. 

We’ll start at 10am on Saturday and continue through to a special Sunday evening celebration. A full calendar and map will be available nearer the time.
